What’s a domain name?

A domain name is basically your web address or the bit of your email that comes after the @ symbol.

What can DBA Hosting do to help?

If you already own your domain then we can point it at your new DBA hosted website. Or if you don’t already own your domain then we can help you to purchase the right domain for you.

What about email?

If your on the WordPress package, we can help you sort your eMail, at DBA so we can keep the costs low we try not to hold your email. The prefered method is to accept the email and the forward it to your prefered online mailbox eg google/hotmail and then delete it from our servers

All DBA accounts are enabled with SpamAssasin, SPF and DKIM for your security

Sender Policy Framework (SPF) Definition:

SPF is a form of email authentication that defines a process to validate an email message that has been sent from an authorized mail server in order to detect forgery and to prevent spam. The owner of a domain can identify exactly which mail servers they are able to send from with SPF protocols.

DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) Definition:

DKIM is a form of email authentication that allows an organization to claim responsibility for a message in a way that can be validated by the recipient. DKIM uses “public key cryptography” to verify that an email message was sent from an authorized mail server, in order to detect forgery and to prevent delivery of harmful email like spam.

We can point your domain to your website or set up parking for any other domain you have for example dbadesign.co.uk and dbahosting.uk point to the same website.
